The KYC hosted a booth at the Last Night Wolfeboro festivities! We offered face painting, glitter tattoos (don’t worry! they are temporary
), corn hole, trivia, and a candy guessing game! Congratulations to Bradley who guess the number of Lindt chocolates correctly!
Over break, we drove to the NH Motor Speedway to tour the Gift of Lights! We had a blast seeing millions of lights, and ended the tour with cookies, cocoa, and toasting marshmallows over the fire pits set up outside.

Thanks to @wolfeboro.public.library for hosting the KYC for a holiday movie night! We had a wonderful, festive time watching The Muppet Christmas Carol. We enjoyed dinner, snacks and watching a movie in a theater-like environment.
We always love our afternoons with Lorraine @peersnotfears! The leadership we see emerge from our teens is just amazing. Do you think you aren’t a leader? You can be! It’s a skill you learn, and our world needs all different types of leaders. Lorraine teaches us this through games, activities, and conversations. The problem solving and teamwork that happens during these days with Lorraine is so exciting and encouraging! Our young people have the skills to be leaders, they just need some guidance to find and use these skills!
We had another wonderful Thanksgiving meal as a group last week! Before we are we shared what we are thankful for, as we do every year. This year teens said: friends, kyc, video games, family, being healthy, muscle cars, oxygen, freedom, good food, living in New Hampshire, and playing music. We enjoyed a special dessert made by teens, games, and a group played music. We always look forward to this program and had a very special time. We hope you all have a happy Thanksgiving!
We are grateful for the opportunity to visit the interactive exhibit Wreaths Across America last week. Their mission: “Remember the fallen. Honor those who serve. Teach the next generation the value of freedom.” Thank you to DAR’s Wolfeboro chapter for connecting us with this opportunity!
We had a fantastic visit at the KYC with Gary Bent and his service dog, Huey! Gary is a veteran, having served in both the US Army and Air Force, until he was injured overseas. Gary shared with us the many adventures and challenges he has experienced and talked about how having a service dog is one of the best decisions he’s made! Gary currently helps other veterans in his community. Thanks to Gary and Huey from @operationdeltadog for the wonderful visit this week, in honor of Veteran’s Day!
We had so much fun handing out candy with and doing some trick-or-treating ourselves, plus a costume contest before we headed out!
This was such a fun project! KYC teens painting three different leaves, which were displayed at different locations. Teens’ “Ghost in the Haunted Woods” leaf won a prize!
