Career Exploration with Garwoods!
A huge thank you to Garwoods Restaurant & Pub in Wolfeboro for hosting a Career Exploration field trip for the Kingswood Youth Center! Gordon and his staff were so gracious and very generous with their time (and food and drinks!) and we appreciate the opportunity!
It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like… Halloween!
Yesterday, our KYC members helped out around the KYC, went to Foss Field to play tennis, and then had fun dressing up in Halloween costumes and decorating the KYC!
After School Fun!
We have been enjoying our newly paved parking lot! Last week week one of our programs was PARKING LOT BONANAZA! We played a ton of the old classics! It was so fun and we are very excited to have this new asset!
A Visit to the Wright Museum
A big thanks to the @wrightmuseumofwwii here in Wolfeboro for hosting the KYC! We got to tour this amazing museum, which was so fun, interesting, and educational!
Monday Program Fun!
We closed up the KYC garden this week! We harvest a pumpkin which was exciting! Volleyball, pizza making, movie night, and team building all rounded out a fun Monday!

A Visit to Knights Pond
We spent an afternoon at Knight’s pond, followed by shooting hoops on our newly paved parking lot! Kendyl also led the group in an activity where we listened to parts of songs and interpreted the lyrics and what the song was trying to convey to the listener. This sparked some really interesting conversations!
Fun Adventures!
Last week KYC’ers worked very hard to help us prepare for the Chili Challenge, which we held this past Saturday! We also spent a day in Alton, hiking, swimming, and playing some games with Kendyl!
We also had such a great time visiting Camp Sentinel last week! We hiked The Ledges and then swam at Dan Hole Pond. Thanks to Camp Sentinel for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful location!
12th Annual Chili Challenge Sept 25th!
We would love it if you joined us for our 12th Annual Chili Challenge! It is always a great time, and it’s a fun and easy way to show your support!
We will be holding the Chili Challenge in a new location this year in conjunction with Wolfeboro Parks and Recreation’s annual Fall Festival! You will be able to find us under the pavilion at Foss Field,
right by the basketball courts .

Team building and more!
Team Building! We love doing these games throughout the year for teens to work on their problem solving skills, cooperation, and to have fun! Monday was no exception. It was great to see how creatively these teens (and staff!) completed the tasks, with lots of laughter involved! Kendyl also led the group through some music and feelings exercises, where she played a few different songs on guitar and piano and we tuned in to how those songs made us feel.
