i Apr 9th by

Last Friday was White Horse Addiction Center’s 3rd Annual Freedom Event.  White Horse works closely with the KYC, supporting our substance misuse prevention programs.  Each Wednesday, Eric Moran, CRSW volunteers at the KYC.  This year, White Horse invited students who participated in the Substance Free Me! essay contest to their event.  The winner read the winning essay at the event!  Thank you White Horse and Congrats KYCers.

Our group with the KYC’s good friend, Eric.

It was great to see our KYCers, our friends from White Horse, and so many community members at this well attended event.

The big moment!

And the winner is…Jaclyn Smith!  Congratulations Jaclyn!

Jaclyn read her essay to an audience of about 200 people.  She is pictured here with (from left to right)  Marty Boldin, the Governor’s Adviser on Substance Use Disorder Prevention, Treatment, and Recovery,  Governor Chris Sununu, White Horse CEO, Mitch Yeaton, two of her peers, Eric Moran, CRSW, White Horse’s Recovery Resource Center Manager, and Chucky Rosa of Chucky’s Fight.

NH Governor, Chris Sununu congratulated our participants!

Chucky Rosa of Chucky’s Fight spoke at the event.  Chucky congratulated our participants and gave them the opportunity to take a pledge to stay substance free.

What a fun night!  Thank you White Horse and congrats to Jaclyn and all of the participants in our essay contest!
